A Sci-Fi Visionary

Philip K Dick lived an interesting life and wrote some of the most fascinating science fiction stories ever translated to film.

Much of his writing has been converted to some of the most mind-bending, reality-jarring, imaginative stories ever translated to film, including my all-time-favorite science fiction movie, Blade Runner. Part of what makes Dick's stories so engaging is having very realistic and interesting characters. It's often hard to know exactly who's right and wrong.

In Blade Runner, Rutger Hauer portrays one of the most compelling antagonists in science fiction history, a rogue android, and Harrison Ford plays quite the anti-hero, who's quest it is to hunt down and execute the android. The combination of Dick's thought-provoking ideas and director Ridley Scott's brilliant work behind the camera makes Blade Runner one of the most visually astonishing films ever produced in any genre of film.
