A Recent trip to VA

I made a recent trip back to Harrisonburg and of course I couldn't resist getting dinner at the best Thai place in the burg.

We went mostly just to spend some time with my mom. A lot of that was just playing games. Some of our favorites include Splendor and Kingdom Builder. We also love Azul. It's always nice to spend a little time in my home town. And every time I go back I can't believe all the little changes, and over time have amounted to a whole lot of change since I moved to NC.

The latest thing is there is now a Buc-Ees gas station that is no kidding the largest gas station I have ever seen. And since it's based in Texas, that kind of tracks. As I was driving away I saw the nearest gas pump was numbered in the 200s. We saw two different families taking a photo near the statue of a beaver, the mascot for the chain. It was surreal. But they did have some delicious snacks.
